Support VMDB
VMDB is independently developed and runs on infrastructure operated by the project itself. If it helps you find out whether a game runs in a VM or through Proton, a voluntary contribution helps keep the project sustainable.
VMDB will remain free
Browsing reports, submitting your own experiences, and using the database will always remain free. Support does not unlock ratings, data, or other functional advantages. Every contribution simply helps the project continue.
Independently hosted and maintained
VMDB is not placed on a shared hosting package. It runs on a privately operated server platform with its own virtualized environment and a separate firewall. This gives the project direct control over its operation, security, and future growth. It also means the infrastructure is maintained and paid for independently.
What contributions help fund
- →Domain and essential online services: keeping vmdb.it reachable and its services available.
- →Power and hardware upkeep: the electricity and long-term wear of the server hardware running VMDB.
- →Reliability and security: backups, storage, maintenance, and replacements or upgrades when the project needs them.
- →Further development: improving VMDB as its compatibility data and community grow.
Contributions help build a reserve for VMDB's infrastructure and future development, so growth does not depend on a sudden increase in personal operating costs.
