If there are too many on-screen effects, it slows to a crawl. If the game is MZ/MV or newer, it won't run without gpu passthrough.
This is for VX Ace or earlier: the game runs fine, if having problems with on screen effects MTool can disable PIXI filters and make the game run much better.
Even on a 10-year old GPU RPGM MV/MZ games pull 60+fps, though as expected some with heavy effects or PIXI filters struggle a lot
Can disable PIXI filters if they're in use with MTool or similar.
This is only for MV/MZ versions: they won't run without GPU passthrough, tried multiple Mesa/Vulkan driver combinations. Ace or earlier run completely fine
